My father-in-law is a huge fan of The Goon Show. Spike Milligan, Peter Sellers, Harry Secombe.
Both Spike and Peter crossed the line of genius/madness.
Harry Secombe found Christianity and hosted Songs of Praise for years.
No judgement. One of them had a much easier life.
Just goes to show that no matter how successful, lauded, admired and exalted you may become…it’s what is inside that matters.
