OK. Revelation.
In the past couple of weeks someone from Germany (probably not. Probably using a VPN) has been trawling through my last blog, Hidden History Research, for hours.
There is NOTHING in that blog that I wouldn’t willingly repost. Bigod, some of it is BRILLIANT :o)
Anyhoo – I was there trying to find out when I first posted this song. It was 18th of April 2019.
Tom Walker wrote the song for a friend lost in drugs. It was his call to help a soul so lost in pain that they had to spend their time in LalaLand just to survive.
The line : I refuse to lose another friend to love was originally – I refuse to lose another friend to drugs.
This rendition with The Red Hot Chilli Pipers is full on SCOTTISH.
The words, the drums, the pipes, the colour, the feeling, the voice, the empathy.
There are so few that I’d dedicate this song to now. In 2019 it was posted for everyone.
As Alanis Morissette sang : YOU LIVE, YOU LEARN
:o)
