A passing yt sentence about people who use crystals being a bit strange or out there or weird. Can’t remember the exact words.

Almost 20 years ago, when I had my shop, I had a cleaning company come in once a month to clean our home. One of these cleaners used to call me The Witch.

Why?

Because I have many crystals in my house. All of which I bought from my neighbouring shopkeeper and late, much lamented, close friend, Peter. He taught me so much in his shop called Earthborn.

Yes. Crystals are gifts from the earth. They are stunningly beautiful and very mysterious and decidedly NOT weird or woo-woo.

Even Aaron in the Bible wore a breastplate of crystals. Like quartz, carnelian, sapphire, agate, jasper, beryl, lapis lazuli. Twelve of them and this armour is known as The Breastplate of Judgement (!)

There is also another Biblical breastplate – this one a prayer of protection that I love.

What is the prayer on St Peter’s breastplate?

Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me. Christ to comfort and restore me.

So funny how these Church/Bible fundamentalists can pick and choose who to love and who to hate. Depending on which (witch is which) way the wind blows.

My favourite building in the whole of the world is the V&A museum in London. I’d love to live inside it for at least a month :o)
