More of those bloody women. Tcchh!

My history vibes have always ended with the ’45. The Jacobite Rebellion. Anything after that was just fluff and nonsense.

But living with men and having a brother-in-law who are VERY well up on this era of our history has given me knowledge via osmosis.

S.O.E fascinates. I know of a few. Violette Szabo mainly – Carve Her Name With Pride.

Some famous writers and actors were also Special Operations.

Like :

Noel Coward, Maureen O’Sullivan, Anthony Quayle and some say Christopher Lee too.

Fleming, le Carre, and others also helped.

I’ve never heard of The Limping Lady before though.

P.S. My Code Name would have been Battle-Axe :o)
