Over the past month we have been adopted by a daddy, mummy and baby family of Muntjac deer.

Right outside of my kitchen window is the bird feeding station. Lots of birds, many squirrels, about a million rabbits and now the muntjac come several times a day to feed.

It all started with the Dad. He’d come, skitty as, and eat the seeds and peanuts.

Then he bought his wife and they’d both feed.

NOW we have their baby – named Zoom aka Now You See Me Now You Don’t.

All three of them come at least twice a day and as the parentals are eating the baby is just having great fun. Zooming in and out of the trees. Then he’ll bounce onto his Mum’s back and zoom off again. All legs and attitude and curiosity.

It’s so beautiful to watch.
