25th of November : Henriette Marie & St. Catherine

I wrote about Henriette Marie in my novel.

The book starts in 1622 when this Princess of France was just 12 years. My m.c. Marie likens her to a beautiful fly…always moving and landing and then moving on. Absorbing everyone and everything.

Well – that is how this author saw the Princess who became Queen of England.

HM was born on the 25th of November 1609, the youngest child of Henri IV and Marie de Medici. Sister of Louis XIII, wife of Charles I Stuart, mother of Charles II Stuart

Today – in history – is also called St. Catherine’s Day and it marks the first day of winter in Europe.

Oh. And MS History says that Saint Catherine was beheaded. Like Charles I Stuart.

You’d’ve thunk?
