I was researching earlier and a date came up 679. The death/murder of Dagobert II, last of the Merovingian Kings, and a thought came to me.
Let’s make this simple.
I’ll do what everyone else does and just add a 1 to the date to make 1679.
Oooooh. That date is VERY familiar to me. It’s when Marie de Rohan died.
Then I caught something playing on the TV in the background. A quote from William Congreve, Restoration Poet.
The Restoration began in 1660 when Henriette Marie and Charles I Stuart’s eldest son was returned to the English Throne as Charles II Stuart.
Henriette Marie and Marie de Rohan were very close friends.
