This is, sadly, what happens when you give someone NOTHING but praise and admiration.
I was not brought up like this. We are a family that rules with Tough Love. If you are rubbish/out of order/egotistical etc You WILL get Shot Down in Flames.

Like the best friend who is the only person in the world who will ever tell you that you SMELL bad.
That’s what loved ones are here for, in my opinion. Not to blow smoke up your beeee-hind and give you False Hope with Fake Compliments.
