All of us slipped on the scree during the descent but Carol, the other girl with us, slipped worst. She was ahead of me and I watched her slide forever on her back down half the mountain.

She tore the skin off and was in agony for weeks.

Scotland is unforgiving. You can have 5 weather patterns in a single day.
